Amanda has been working with Kanban since 2009. In the last 10 years, she’s been coaching Kanban and leading DevOps and Software Development teams. At Petrobras, a Brazilian company and one of biggest oil and gas companies from South America, she had the opportunity to work with more than 30 teams transforming the way they worked by the use of agile practices and Kanban. In 2014 she received the Brickell Key Award for her work there. Today, she is a Kanban trainer, and a software development manager in Elements @ Envato, a subscription service for creative assets.
Kanban at Petrobras: how 30 teams delivered better results through the lens of ESP and KMM
KMM and ESP are concepts that have emerged from Kanban adoptions in the last 10 years. In this case, I’ll tell the story about how 30 teams at Petrobras evolved in their maturity, and how the patterns of evolution can be recognised in what today was codified in the Kanban Maturity Model. We are also going to see how an effective strategy of services coordination was established with the use of simple metrics and proper feedback loops.
